In 2018, Descente made the decision to enter the running shoe market, starting from the elite-level Sub2 model and expanding to a full range of products for everyday runners. The brand focused on developing lasts specifically designed for the foot shape and gait of Japanese runners, with the ability to convert the force of striking the ground into a propulsive force with zero loss. We also collaborated with Descente Global to develop triathlon-specific running shoes, which were selected as the official footwear for the Swiss national triathlon team at the time and delivered excellent results in multiple competitions. In addition, we designed a customized signature model for Yūki Ishikawa, then captain of the Japanese national volleyball team. The design was tailored to his playing habits and personal design preferences, offering a fully personalized solution.
